Technical Guidelines for Scientific Poster Submission

Poster Dimensions and Format

  • Size: 100 cm wide x 180 cm high (vertical format)
  • Orientation: Vertical (portrait)
  • File format: PDF
  • Maximum file size: 80 MB
  • Minimum resolution: 150 dpi (300 dpi recommended for print)

Suggested Content Structure

Your poster should clearly and concisely present the most relevant information about your work. The following outline is suggested and may be adapted depending on your research area or discipline:

Title

Clear and representative of the work. Must include the author(s), institution(s), and contact email.

Abstract

Maximum 250 words.

Introduction / Background

Brief context of the issue or phenomenon being addressed.

Objectives

State the main objective(s) of the research.

Methodology

Type of study, population/sample, techniques and tools used.

Results

Present the findings using tables, charts, or figures. Include a concise analysis of the most relevant data.

Conclusions

Key insights and final reflections. Include potential implications, limitations, or future research directions.

References

Include only the most relevant ones. Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, Vancouver, etc.).

Acknowledgments (optional)

Funding sources, collaborations, supporting institutions, etc.

Design Recommendations

Readability

Use clear fonts such as Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica. Minimum recommended font sizes:
  • Title: 60 pt
  • Body text: 24–32 pt
  • Tables/Graphs: Text must be legible from at least 1 meter away

Colors and Background

Avoid overly dark backgrounds or distracting images. Ensure strong contrast between text and background.

Images and Graphics

Use high-quality images and easy-to-read graphics. Avoid visual clutter or excessive content.

Logos

It is recommended (but not required) to include institutional logos in the header or footer. Including the Expo Cannabis Argentina logo is optional.

Final Recommendations

Carefully proofread your text before submitting. Keep your poster visually clean — it should be easy to read quickly. Test print your poster at A3 or A4 size to check readability before uploading.
